When I bought this home my friends in Paris stated: „Eggert bought himself a David Hockney house.” “Okay”, I thought. “Let’s make this a David Hockney house.” So I started modelling everything onto Hockney’s famous blue house in the Hollywood Hills: A blue living room, blue fire place, blue furniture, a blue outdoor living room. California pools a blue anyway and the Palm Springs sky is blue 330 days per year.
The Designer’s Guild Wallpaper is imported from Europe and the funky color scheme of the house actually derives from the Wallpaper.
